Bubble Shooter: how a round works

Open Bubble Shooter, check the instructions and begin a round. Clear the hanging bubbles before they reach the lower boundary. Keep the game area visible while you use its controls. Make your first input carefully and watch the result. Check the relevant rule before repeating a move.

Original hexagonal matching board and bouncing projectiles.

An idea for your next attempt

Before your first action, say what you are trying to achieve. Then compare the result with the goal. Refer to the controls when needed.

What counts as success

Clear the hanging bubbles before they reach the lower boundary. The feedback beside the game helps you follow the round. Notice how the game responds to your input.

How a round unfolds

  1. Aim and fire.
  2. Attach bubbles to the cluster.
  3. Groups of three or more equal colours disappear.
  4. Floating groups drop; five misses lower the ceiling.

Input guidance

Pointer/touch aim, angle controls and Fire. Use the control method described here for this activity. Use one clear input at a time.

An example before you play

Removing one support can drop a larger mixed-colour group below it. Compare this with the rule that governs the move. Keep the game’s format in mind.

Pay attention to this rule

Contact with a different colour is not a match. Take a moment to reassess the position before continuing. Locate the buttons and input area before beginning a long round. Use the on-screen labels to avoid an accidental restart.
